........Follows the foot steps of Gov.Abiodun who constructs the lone structure in the school as at the moment.

The Executive Chairman of Yewa South local government, Hon. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, has followed the present administration in  Ogun state in rescuing St. Augustine African  Church Primary school in Idogo from ruins as he officially lays the foundation of a block of three classrooms to complement the lone building left standing in the school.

He led an entourage of his cabinet to Idogo town, on Thursday 24th April, to lay the foundation of the building.
He said the project became a must for him after the Idogo people sent their Honourable Councilor, Hon. Olukunle Ogunsola Victor, to him to relay their plight.

His words  :  " On hearing the situation of things in the school , I know we had to act because the school does not deserve the treatment it is getting in this generation,"--- the Chairman stated

"This is one school that has trained many successful elder statesmen in this state. Even  the Supervisor for Information, Education and Sports, Hon. Kayode Seidu, who is a member of my cabinet, finished from here. Why should such a school suffer this fate? "
"Thank God for the intervention of the fatherly Governor, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, who constructed the lone structure standing in the school today. If not for that, we would all come here to meet a school of over ninety years in existence that does not have a single classroom anymore,"-- Ogunsola added.

Making the disclosure, Hon.Babatunde Ogunsola, said he had instructed the Works and Housing Department of the Local Government to make the project their priority in order to make the classrooms available for use as soon as possible.
Reacting, Oba Saheed Adewale Olubiyi Ajagungbade one, who led the Baale and Chiefs of the town, to the foundation laying ceremony said the Chairman rose in time to safe the school from total ruins.

The monarch stated that the Chairman "has proven that he is an administrator who listens to the yearnings of the people, most especially the people at the grassroots. He is a good example of what a leader should be."

Present at the occasion were: the Vice Chairman of the local government, Hon. Sheriff Bankole, Honourable Councilors, Supervisors, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Wole Fateru, Chiefs and townspeople.
