SUCCOUR AT LAST FOR IDI-ABA , AGO-EYO AS OGUNSOLA LAYS FIRST EVER SCHOOL FOUNDATION IN THE TWO COMMUNITIES

  By Onaade Caroline

Help came at last for the people of Idi-Aba, Ago-Eyo in Ajilete, as the Executive Chairman of Yewa South local government, Hon. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, commenced the construction of the first ever primary school to meet the yearnings of the communities since  the start of democratic rule in 1999.

Having provided an acre of land by themselves, Hon. Abraham Ogunsola led his entourage to the site of the school on Friday, 21st March to officially laid the foundation of the project.
Hon. Abraham Ogunsola revealed that he made the school his first major project in office following the revelations that little children are losing their lives successively on their way to school while crossing the express road.

Hon. Ogunsola revealed that "The school project is not just the usual government project to give back to the people but a deliberate attempt by this administration to save lives of young children living in the communities  around Idi-Aba Ago-Eyo, Ajilete”.

It is also  a testament to the fact that “we mean to efficiently use the scarce resources to make the most impact in the society. It is a start, in due time many more will follow and our people will know for sure that they have truly voted for a government that cares about their expectancies.”
According to Barrister Ogunsola, “providing conducive environment for learning in addition to quality education embarked upon by the local government is in consonance with the ISEYA agenda of His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON with determination to turn people's lives around for good."

Perennially, the Honourable Councilor representing Ajilete ward in Yewa South local government Legislative Council, Hon. Abiola Shakirullah expressed that the school project is a move to save many innocent lives more than the need to educate the children.
Hon. Abiola stated that "the closest school to this community is about 20 kilometers. The children always arrive late at school. And in desperation to beat time, some of them lost their young, dear lives to road accidents  while trying to cross the road. This is not only a laudable project, but a life-saving one."
On the whole, the numerous stakeholders in the community joined the Baale and his entourage to welcome the Executive Chairman at the occasion to appreciate him for being the savior of their children.
